Check-In Time

In order to allow your pet adequate time to relax and get acclimated The Pawington, Pet Guests should check-in for boarding between noon and 5 pm unless otherwise scheduled. Please allow extra time upon check-in to verify feeding, medications and any special needs that your pet may have. A Boarding Check-In form is to be completed for every stay. Check-ins that occur prior to 5:30 A.M. will incur a flat fee of $69 (our small suite room rate), as those pets must be placed in to a suite prior to daycare. That suite must remain vacant prior to their arrival.

For any guests checking in between 5:30 A.M. and 7:00 A.M., a $20 fee per guest will apply.

For New Guests of The Pawington

New pet guests to The Pawington must have completed and signed the Dog or Cat Profile Form, Boarding and Services Agreement, Resort Policies and a Boarding Check-in Form. These forms allow our staff to understand your pet’s needs and prepare for their overnight visit.

Alternative Meal Preparation

If you will be providing your own food, please prepare and label each individual serving separately for the entire length of stay. For more information on dining preferences/options please see all dining options available. If, at any time, The Pawington must provide premium house kibble (Natural Balance or Taste of the Wild brands) to your pet, $3.00/meal rate will apply.

Medication Preparation

If your pet requires medication or supplements during their stay, all medications and supplements must be provided in their original labeled container with the number of pills being left. Please make sure that you provide enough for your pets entire stay. At this time, The Pawington does not administer injectable medications. Checking Out

Check Out Time

Check out time is 10:00 A.M. Pets not picked up by 10:00 A.M. will be charged normal daycare rates and placed in the appropriate Daycare area until they are picked up. Pickup between 10 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. incurs a half day of daycare charge, while pickups between 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. incur a full day of daycare charge. Standard rates apply, and a daycare package may be applied. We recommend booking grooming appointments prior to the day of pick up, as grooming is subject to availability and if it occurs past check out time, a daycare fee may be included. Pet guests will strictly be released to their owners and/or authorized individuals as specified on their application. Valid photo identification is required for all pet guest pick ups. If pets are not picked up by 7:00 P.M., an additional boarding charge at the rate of an appropriate sized room based on your pets’ size will be incurred. Normal Boarding rates occur, discounts for additional guests staying in the same suites still apply.

Pet Health and Temperament

For the safety of all pet guests, each guest must meet the vaccination standards. We apologize for any inconvenience, but vaccination incubation periods for Bordetella are strictly enforced. Vaccinations must be confirmed by The Pawington staff at least 24 hours prior to your pet’s arrival.  Therefore, proof of all records are required. The Pawington reserves the right to refuse admittance to any pet guest for any reason, at any time.  Refusal automatically includes those who lack proof of vaccinations, show signs of illness or a contagious condition, demonstrate aggressive behavior or fail temperament testing.

Secure Travel

For the safety of our pet guests and in accordance with the leash guidelines of South San Francisco, ALL pets entering and exiting our facility must be on a leash less than 6’ long or placed in a carrier.

Pet Belongings

The Pawington has been custom designed to provide our pet guests with luxury suites that include everything they will need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We provide daily maid service with clean bedding, linens, blankets, and bowls for each guest. To ensure the health and safety of all our pet guests, we recommend not bringing in personal items. It also presents a risk of these items being lost or damaged. 

You may bring in or purchase a toy in good condition that we can give to your pet while in their boarding suite or a disposable (throw away) t-shirt that smells like home. Please see our Resort Policies for more information.
